Creating Calendars

Guide to create calendars with WordPress Event Calendar plugin.

Adding a Calendar

Here you can find the list of all created calendars. You can edit, quick edit or delete the existing calendars, as well as take bulk actions and/or apply filtering to simplify the search. Click the ‘Add new’ button to create a new calendar. You can view your Calendar right from the WordPress top bar menu either after publishing it or editing an existing one.

Create a new calendar by specifying such details, as:

Title. Set a title for the calendar.

Content. Provide details about the specific calendar if necessary.

Events. You can add an event to the calendar by select an existing one from the popup list.

Themes. You can change the Calendar theme and preview it by updating the calendar post at first and clicking the ‘Preview/Add Events’ button afterwards.

Default calendar. You can set this calendar as default for newly created events.

Calendar Shortcode

You can display this Calendar on any post or page by opening it from the back end and pressing on the Event Calendar WD icon within the editor. The shortcode with three tabs will appear. An alternative is copying the shortcode from the ‘Calendars’ section (it will take default settings) and pasting it into the desired destination for further editing.
