Website Security by 10Web

Keep your website safe from vulnerabilities, security issues, and SQL injections with 10Web Security service. Using this powerful tool, scan your website for security problems and get comprehensive information about all issues and potential risks. To begin using this service, click Manage to modify your website and navigate to Security tab from 10Web Dashboard.

As the first step, enable Security service to add this feature to your WordPress site. Then press Run Scan button to check for security issues on your website. After the scanning process is completed, the tool will tell you the number of issues and vulnerabilities on your website. In addition, it will provide you with a comprehensive report and tools, which are separated into the following sections:

  • Issues,
  • Ignored Issues,
  • Vulnerabilities,
  • Settings.

Issues

This section of 10Web Security service will provide you with the list of files on your website that are outdated or modified. While scanning your website, it looks through WordPress core, as well as plugin and theme files. As developers work on WordPress and its extensions every day and improve security, outdated or modified files may cause vulnerabilities.

The following are the main types of issues detected by 10Web Security are the following:

  • Missing files,
  • Modified files,
  • Added files.

If you have added or modified files on your website, but you are sure that there are no potential security risks, you can click on Ignore button to remove the issue from this list. These items will appear under Ignored Issues tab and you can restore them anytime.

Vulnerabilities

In case any file on your website contains a vulnerability, such as:

  • an SQL injection risk,
  • cross-site request forgery,
  • cross-site scripting,

or other problems, the Security service reports it under the Vulnerability tab. Additionally, the tool provides you with references regarding each problem and mentions the type of the vulnerability.

Settings

With the settings of 10Web Security service, you can configure what to check when running a security scan. You can allow the tool to scan:

  • WordPress core and plugin vulnerabilities,
  • core, plugin, and theme files against their versions on WordPress repository.

Configure the settings as it suits your website most, then run a security scan.
